Our Story

More than fifteen years ago, John and I crossed paths again—this time, for something more. While we had known of each other during our time at Qualcomm, it wasn’t until years later, at various parties and events, that our paths began to cross more meaningfully—familiar smiles turning into something more, never quite knowing what the future had in store.

What once felt like a passing connection slowly unfolded into something meaningful, as if life had quietly been waiting for the right moment to bring us into each other’s lives.

What began as a simple friendship soon became one of the most unexpected and joyful chapters of our lives. We bonded over playful Facebook Word Scrapper games (yes, it got a little competitive), impromptu calls for “work advice” (which often meant navigating the world of engineers with patience and humor), and shared lunches that always seemed to end in laughter. Along the way, we discovered our shared love of long conversations and a good glass of wine (or John’s Old Fashioned)—both of which we’ve happily continued to perfect over the years.

As time passed, that friendship quietly blossomed into a deep and enduring love—one built on joy, trust, and unwavering companionship (and a healthy sense of humor). Together, we’ve remodeled our Via Capri home, guided the kids from their teenage years into adulthood, traveled for both work and pleasure, and stood side by side through every triumph and challenge life has brought our way. Somewhere along the way, it became very clear—we’re simply better together.

This past year, after five years of little travel, we set off on a month-long journey through Africa and the Seychelles—an adventure that would change everything. One unforgettable evening in Zambia, beneath a breathtaking canopy of stars, with hippos in the river below and fireflies dancing in the warm night air, John in his own ways expressed about our life together—our love, and the incredible journey we’ve built—and how he never wants it to end. Then, in that quiet, magical moment, he asked, “Will you marry me, Daisy?”

And honestly… neither do I. 💛

So here we are—choosing each other, every day, and forever.
